White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said that President Donald Trump might put sanctions on Russia if the situation calls for it.
Speaking at a press briefing, Leavitt mentioned that the Gaza Relief Foundation was created to send food to Palestinians. She also confirmed reports that people waiting for help had been fired upon.
Leavitt added that President Trump didn’t know in advance about the Ukrainian drone strike on Russia but still hopes for a peaceful solution to the conflict.
She confirmed that President Trump will attend the next NATO summit and noted that the U.S. is currently making strong trade deals with several countries.
On Iran, Leavitt said that Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, has shared a proposal for a new nuclear deal. If Iran refuses to accept it, she warned, the country will face serious consequences.
